I know its been a long time since my last entry but I have been extremely busy and had no time to update but here I am now :D. So where should I start? Well, I have been living in Taipei for about four and a half months now. During the time since my last post I have networked and met people from all over the world who came to Taiwan to study and work. I have also met some great friends who I have been hanging out with since.
The whether here is also great, averaging from mid 60s(F) at night and high 70s(F) during the day. I actually wear jackets now since it does get a bit chilly at night. Currently there are two big sales going on at the two biggest shopping centers in Taiwan (Sogo and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi). They are promoting 10% cash back so you have to spend at least $5,000 to get $500 back and $10,000 to get $1,000 back. Many of the stores also have sales, ranging from 10% off to 50% off. Although the 10% cash back sale does not sound like much, this is the only "big" sale that department stores have that only occur once a year so the malls have been packed with shoppers for the pass few weeks.
There are so many movies which I want to watch but have not been released in Taiwan yet such as Paranormal Activity, District 9 and a few others. I hope they come out here soon, I prefer watching movies in theaters. The last movie I saw in theaters was Transformers 2 which did not live up to any of my expectations.
I was not expecting much of a Halloween in Taiwan but I was surprised to see everyone dressed up. Seeing all the costumes reminded me of Halloween back in the states. You have the people who just wear a mask or some other lame accessory, people who go all out with their homemade costumes of Optimus Prime and lets not forget the reason Halloween was invented, for girls to wear slutty costumes and not be called a slut. When I got off work around 12am, I saw waves of drunken people all lined up outside of the clubs in their costumes. I was very impressed with all the Halloween spirit.
After mastering Zhuyin Fuhao, I am now currently trying to memorize every word in the Chinese dictionary one at a time. This has proven to be extremely time consuming but must be done in order to achieve my goal of reading and comprehending a Chinese newspaper. Unlike English, every word in Chinese has its own character so knowing how to pronounce the word does not necessarily mean that you are about to write it like in English.
I have not been going to the gym for about five weeks now -,-''. I thought getting a gym membership would encourage me to go more often since I am paying for it but I find myself being lazy. When I started I was determined to go 3-4 times a week but as the weeks went by, I found myself putting exercise on the back burner. I keep telling myself that I will go work out tomorrow but tomorrow is never today.
My birthday is next month but I am not sure how I want to celebrate one less year of life. Also, I will be going back to California for two weeks in December which I am ecstatic about. Can't wait to be able to drive a car and eat carne asada fries again. I plan to visit SF, LA, SD and maybe LV if people are up for it. I will see everyone very seem :D
So those are my updates for the past month. I will try to put more entries up when I get a chance.

I was so happy when I found these chips, although they tasted less like a California Roll and more like sour cream and onions -,-
