About a month ago I went on a family trip down to visit Taichung, Kaohsiung, Tainan and a few other locales along the way.
I can say that outside of Taipei, Taiwan is a very different place. Taipei being the largest and most populated city in Taiwan is very modern with its tall skyscrapers, convenient public transportation as well as cramp living conditions. You rarely see any standalone buildings, instead you have tall buildings with businesses at the first and second floors and residential apartments higher up.
Along the way to the South we visited a few temples and markets which I dont remember the names of.
RANDOM FACTS:
I thought the sign of the bicyclist falling off the ledge was hilarious.
We visited a temple where you can borrow money but would have to return within a year. This is thought to bring good luck and good fortune.
The giant Buddha statue is actually a giant temple in which you can go inside.
The little boy in the green stroller is my nephew Hunter :D
